"A Much Broader Base"
Hillary weighs the big plus remaining in her campaign
to Frank Loesser's "Take Back Your Mink"
(Take back your mink, take back your pearls)

A broader base,
So some will think
I'm warning I'll float
And Obama will sink.

Follow me 'round.
Leer from the rear.
That's what Bill does,
Plus I'm harder to hear.

And if he's around when I'm giving a speech,
you won't find him sitting down front.
Instead he's in back of me just out of reach
    enjoying his "blue elephant".

But "a much broader base" can mean lots of things
depending on who does the quoting,
Like a physical diff'rence between queens and kings
that may or may not be worth noting.

Though when one's awash
In a sea of red ink,
One prays a cliché
Can predict who will sink.
