Cleaning Up After Countrywide
Mrs. Withington is not happy

Word just in from Mrs.
    J.A. Withington III
,
Whose stock broker hubby failed
to make it as a bird,
Plunging forty stories
    in reaction to the news
That Bob Rubin chose to quit
    before somebody sues
For his lousy job of keeping
    Citigroup afloat
Long enough to make Weill's ship
    a stinking, sinking boat.

Well, Mrs. Withington's not pleased
    to own a penny stock
Now that Rubin's policies
    forced Citi into hock
So Countrywide's ex-president
    and PennyMac can make
Another fortune on the loans
    that caused the bellyache.

Stamford Kurland gets to buy,
    for pennies on the dollar,
Those "teaser" loans from bailed out banks.
    He's still a bottom trawler.
Will Timmy Geithner get a cut
on these sweet deals he's makin'?
Does anyone but Withington
    feel that they're being taken?
