Could Trash Talking Backfire?
(On Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Sharon Angle, et al.)

Who'd believe calls for action could ever backfire,
Or that there'd be somebody somewhere who'd mind?
Or is every fan of "Don't retreat" and "RELOAD"
The most loyal extremist that Palin could find?

How "armed and dangerous" must assassins be
To turn on their trash talking spokesperson, Michele?
How many will research the Second Amendment
Before making sure Angle's on her way to Hell?

All some trigger fingers will need is advice
About whom to target to land on the front page.
So well publicized nutjobs (Palin, Bachman and Angle?)
Are obvious win-wins for the eager ten-gauge.

But a sawed-off ten-guage can be hard to conceal
And doesn't accommodate half as much ammo
As those cute little Glocks that are now all the rage.
But a Glock's hole is smaller than a ten-guage's "Whammo!"

If only these trash talkers would be more specific,
But, except for abortions, most of them are prochoice,
Which sometimes delays indecisive assassins…
Should it be a drive by from a horse or Rolls Royce?
