Duck Decisions and Deals (Perhaps not as lame as we thought) What kind of a duck will Obama become? Some continue to speculate that he can't decide. But, as with McCain, the deciding part's easy. It's the prior decisions that they can't abide. Look how quickly McCain flip-flopped on Palin, On taxes, global warming, immigration, health care. By flip-flopping that quickly and often McCain Has proved he can flip-flop anytime anywhere. Is Obama that versatile? Hopefully not. And unlike No Labels he's not cashing in Using undisclosed donors to fund his agenda. What's the big secret unless they've conned Ho Chi Minh? We were growing accustomed to our own lame duck POTUS – No public option, but tax breaks for the rich. Then someone suggested a conspiracy theory: Did the Chinese get to him the way they got to Mitch? Were they that determined to loan us more money? How dreadful; how awful; what terrible luck That they somehow achieved what had been the unthinkable. Has the duck we thought was lame now become Peking Duck?
