Frequent Flier Fears
(And concern for UPS and FedEx drivers)

You might want to think twice before boarding that plane.
Homeland Security's not doing its job.
International cargo's supposed to be screened,
But they've not finished testing their thingamabob

To do the screening. And they haven't said when
They'll be able to screen all Congress requires.
Till then destinations are subject to change –
From Detroit or Chicago to those heavenly choirs.

The risk of an accident's prob'ly greater at home
If like Tool Time's Tim Taylor your skill's on the bum.
But changing the plumbing or electrical wiring
Seldom blows home fixer-uppers to kingdom come.

And who wants to see UPS planes and trucks
Blowing to smithereens wherever they are,
Delivering cumquats from Fruit of the Month
Or fake printer cartridges bootlegged from Qatar?

In the meantime give FedEx and UPS plenty of room
For their trucks to explode. Those poor devils in shorts…
Is hazardous duty pay being provided,
Or is that only the concern of a few worrywarts?
