How Big's Too Big?
Antitrust for health insurance giants

How big's too big? How bad's too bad?
How bad's a biggie like Blue Cross?
Lack of major competition
means extra millions for the boss.

And more expensive pre-conditions.
    Higher premiums? Of course,
To pay his lobbyists to fight rules
    we are dying to enforce.

Why exempt insurance giants?
    Antitrust laws should apply.
Repeal their limited exemption.
    Competitors will multiply.

Where there's one now let's have sev'ral –
    sev'ral diff'rent shades of blue.
Navy, cobalt, periwinkle –
Has azure got a deal for you!

No monopolizing markets –
    no underwriters at old Blue.
These reforms should let us buy
a truer tint, a newer hue

With zero pre-existing no-nos.
    Football linemen sign up here.
Igmore that ringing in your noggin.
    Defer dementia till next year.

Antitrust and public options!
    Insurance we can all afford!
Competition makes a diff'rence;
    makes sure ev'ryone's on board.
