Laying Down, Looking Up
(With Sally?)

Have you ever laid down flat on your back
Just looking skyward? It's a wonderful view.
Admiring the tops of your eighty foot locusts?
Should that be what Clapton urges Sally to do?

From a distance the tops look like very tall ferns,
Catching a breeze shorter trees do not get.
The difference is distinctive and amazingly charming.
Sally would find it relaxing I'd bet.

The tall ones can be whipping around in a frenzy
While the shorter all manage to stay perfectly still.
It's a sight that I never seem to tire of watching,
And once you give it a try, I doubt that you will.
