Lynching Eric Cantor?
(In effigy?)

Cantor's listened too long to McConnell and Boehner
And finally mastered the mechanics of "No",
But now he's discovering just mechanics won't cut it.
When to use it's an art at which Cantor's no pro.

On August 3rd when their mail boxes are empty
And voters are looking for their government checks,
He and his disciples better pray those are effigies
Those voters are choosing to hang by their necks.

July 4th was nothing; August 3rd is the day
For the Tea Party lynchings on his side of the aisle.
Grayer heads could have warned him but he never listens,
Instead they'll have spectated and tried not to smile

While planning a party without its extremists.
One that's concerned with creating new jobs,
Not just the careers of its own politicians
Nor reducing the taxes of their richest nabobs.

Will Cantor be permitted to damage their brand?
How can they protect us from hearing him talk?
Maybe by lynching him in effigy
If in person's too much of a stumbling block.
