No Accountability
Or insurer responsibility?

Accountability, it seems,
    is not what Baucus wants
When health insurers swindle
    Mommy's uncles and her aunts.

Aetna claims it isn't swindling.
The law's still on their side.
No way are they accountable
    because Mommy's uncle died.

Why would they pay for treatments
    underwriters feel won't work?
Underwriters with on-line degrees
    for becoming a file clerk.

Then they claim the fine print,
no one reads, says they won't pay
If somewhere in the distant past
    he used a nasal spray.

It's tough to prove he didn't
when they assume he did –
Perhaps a Vicks inhaler
for the sniffles as a kid?

So claims they are supposed to,
    but manage not to, pay
Bankrupt the entire family
    while Aetna walks away.

So what in hell makes Baucus think
    he has power of attorney
To keep uncle killing underwriters
    from serving time with Bernie?
