Off With Their Heads But don't expect them to eat crow Will anybody cry when Ken Lewis says goodbye? When he's finally told he'd better take a powder? He forgot to play the Grinch after buying Merrill Lynch and the cries for Kenny's head grew even louder. So he and Thain agreed that nothing should impede the speed with which their merger should proceed, But Kenny turned his back to give Thain a little slack to pander to his ego and his greed: Big bonuses, of course, with taxpayers as the source, while praying news of them would not leak out, And if it did, the pain would all accrue to Thain, pain Kenny's reign would know nothing about. Like the toxic assets Merrill had been hoarding like a squirrel, impersonating ostriches they'd seen With their heads stuck in the sand while E. Stanley's little band departed to the tune 'God Save the Queen.' Harvey Milk would have approved and Barney Frank might have been moved if the tune had meant E. Stan was coming out. But it didn't and he hasn't though he dines each night on pheasant. That seems to be what Wall Street's all about.
