Polly Doesn't Need Another Cracker
(Politicians aren't worried; they should be)

The stock market's peaking. The rich doing well.
Why should politicians show any concern?
They're all well off, thanks to Scalia
So when will the out-of-work be getting their turn?

Whose job will it be to get a bill or two passed?
Who will come up with a much needed stimulus?
Who can we count on to generate jobs?
Weren't they elected to look out for us?

Instead they take actions that are slowing things down.
Sequesters to them may seem perfectly fine.
And repealing healthcare for the umptieth time
May help Boehner's ego, but does nothing at all for John Doe's bottom line.

Stock market fat cats, and that includes Congress,
See no need for a change to their way of life.
But when the market collapses, as it always does,
Who'll give a damn about Blunt's Floodway Boondoggle strife?
