Proud Not To Have Voted
(For Obama's second term)

Climate change has proved to be a blessing of sorts.
Hurricane Sandy did prevent my vote.
I had planned to vote for Barack Obama,
Who since then has become a deceitful turncoat.

Now my conscience is clear which isn't much help,
Watching the next four years of a one party D.C.
Now that Obama has shown his true colors
They'll be four of Republican chicanery.

Dad was a Republican; I confess I was, too.
That stopped with Nixon, their first big buffoon.
Since then they've played "Can You Top That?"
With Reagan, both Bushies and this latest cartoon.

In the future, who knows? Democrats don't look good.
Like if they get steamrollered cutting old folks livelihoods.
Who elected a Senate that cannot fight back?
Pray they're not dummies from your neighborhoods.
