Publicizing Campaign Donors
Corporations and their lobbyists

Why are media reluctant
    to publish campaign donor names?
Why partially identify
    Congressional shell games?

Why name recipient and party
    but not lobbyist or giver?
The public needs to know
who's paddling Congress down the river.

If we knew who paid what to whom
    for simply saying "NO",
We might discourage lobbying
as a way of laying low.

Who wouldn't switch from P&G
    knowing Boehner's on retainer?
Having seen what Boehner does,
    the switch is a no-brainer.

Northrop Grumman's Shelby –
    Southern Company's DeMint –
All as ineffective as
    a vacuum full of lint.

Like Tiger's sponsors, companies
    should disassociate
From spokesmen that so many
    would willingly castrate.
