Putin says threatening Syria with bombong won't work
What does he fear could drive Assad berserk?
Could it be the rebels friendly chats with McCain,
Or Lindsey Graham's cheerleading outfits that's the pain?
Or was it the warrior tactic of Kerry
That caused Syria's tyrant to begin to worry?
Obama's rhetoric had not had much effect
Until he said he'd have the Tea Party contact him direct
Was it the prospect of listening to Rand Paul's ranting that got through,
Or hearing Ted Cruz deny facts that he knew?
Those threats are far more frightening than bombing could be.
Look how many are retiring to get away from D.C..
