Republicans A vanishing breed Republicans have now become a surreptitious lot Which makes it hard to verify how many more we've got. So though there's fewer of them they're occasionally still spotted, And despite Obama's victory there's more than we'd like allotted With many of them still convinced they never have been wrong; That candidates are qualified if tortured by the 'Cong; That Bushie post-Katrina was not in some way flawed; That Graham's plan to drown himself was not a little odd. Republicans were so convinced that they could never lose With Rove assigned to Fox TV to modify the news; A ploy that didn't work that well for Mac, a lousy liar With no more credibility than he'd had as a flier. His choice of Sarah Palin, that broke the camel's back, Was pure Republicinsanity, like biting off Iraq; Like politics Alaskan style where they suppressed the vote Rerunning that old geezer, their convicted gravy boat. Some folks, at times have wondered why Bush seldom used a veto. Why bother? Signing statements simply signify an on the sly finito. So Obama must prioritize each Addington mistake To minimize the trouble that the Bushies still can make.
