Second Opinions Reducing our health care costs Why not second guess your doctor? Did he find what's wrong with you? Did he have his act together? Did you think he had a clue? Though he knows someone will pay him well for ev'ry test he does, His rationale is he needs tests to know what could be, is and was. So did he see you mainly as a way of making a quick buck And prescibe a zillion tests? Was he a tester run amok? Were bottom lines of some concern? His, of course, not yours or mine? And without a regulator, who's to say he's out of line? So was a second judgement needed? Could your big toe have had the gout? Or was the pain caused by that splinter that he could have taken out?
