Sorry About That, Honey
(But he'll let you break it to the kids)

What an embarassment to spouses and children
When neighbors and friends learn whose daddy's the dummy,
All because Daddy waited till now to show Moody's
That Daddy and Grover are excessively chummy.

Being willing to stubbornly vote for the default
Means Daddy's in danger of losing his job
As well as what's left of his great reputation
And the circle of friends he has managed to rob

Of their Medicare and Social Security
And homes as the interest on their mortgages rises.
How long will it take for the kids to get used to
Going to school in Democratic disguises?

And for Mom to switch Daddy to caffeine free Tea
And redirect his aggression to rebel against Grover,
Knowing the Tea Party militias can't help him
Now that their top one percent tax breaks are over?
