War Paint Or Grease Paint?
Second-rate actors regretting and forgetting their lines

Was it poor planning or shortsightedness?
Mitch Just-Say-No never said 'No' enough.
Now Obama's proposing to do all sorts of things
That to Mitch Just-Say-No were acceptable stuff.

Can Mitch take things back, that he said before,
Without screwing up more than he already has?
His war paint will need to be brighter than Boehner's –
Tea parties like actors with more razzamatazz.

But John Boehner's grease paint's not done much for his act.
He utters his lines; then ignores what he said.
He was for Wall Street bailouts, but now he's against.
At least what he says doesn't go to his head.

We've much the same problem with Mitch Just-Say-No.
When he remembers, he seems sorry he did.
Tax cuts for the public, not just lobbyist friends?
How dare Obama submit the wiining bid?
