Obama's Gulf War –
Why The Coverup?
Trying for another Dead Sea?

Why would Obama let BP refuse
a proper assessment of how much it's spilling?
Aren't we entitled to know how much wildlife
    British Petroleum's planning on killing?

How could the rate at which oil is escaping
possibly impact failed efforts at plugging?
To folks on the sidelines it looks like they're stalling –
summa cum loud in the art of humbugging.

Aerial photos are failing to capture
ten mile long plumes of oil under the sea.
How inconvenient if millions more barrels
were charged to Transocean as well as BP.

Both have applied to a federal judge,
whose "Drill, Baby, Drill" has gone over so big
That, thanks to an eighteen fifty-one law,
they'd only owe us the cost of their rig.

You think the relief well they're currently drilling
has safety devices they'll need when it fails?
Or are they again so sure it can't happen,
they're trusting Transocean to call heads or tails?
