A Whitewash For Rummy
(Sung to the tune "A Fine Romance")

A fine whitewash –
We're not guilty.
Abuse? Hogwash!
Some mild grilling,
Teaming the top brass in charge
With jailers we've left at large –
Who wants by guess and by gosh?

Some deceased?
Most incidental.
Heads creased?
Quite accidental.
Playing by Bush's new rules,
A few improvised their own tools,
How did they get press released?

No stone unturned,
Or looked under.
No brass burned
Or cast asunder.
John Warner's been left in the lurch
While we still abuse the strip-search.
It's a privilege that Bush says we've earned.
