Auctioning Lawmakers
(Bidding on Congress's greedy corporate representatives)

What is the current market value of Congress?
How much is each of these guys selling for?
What is the going price for a Congressman?
Can a Senator really command that much more?

Thank God for all of the big brains on Wall Street.
Now we can share the success of these whores.
Though high speed computers let hedge funds acquire 'em,
The derivatives market is the place for big scores.

The bid price for Swaps on Boehner's success
Is rising faster than those on lame ducks like Mitch,
Who's outlived his usefulness now that he's been paid
For helping cut taxes for Dave Koch's SuperRich.

Schumer still rakes it in, and thanks Ernst & Young,
His forty-nine thousand
was a bargain for Wall Street,
Just for "working" on bills that Ernst clients opposed.
Pay Chuck what he asks or he'll turn up the heat.

Rating agencies have rushed to hire media pundits.
They desperately need to know who'll be Triple A.
Was downgrading Max Baucus a bit premature?
With a few well-timed fundraisers he may be OK.

Ethics be damned, and ditto transparency -
They need job longevity to make the big bucks.
But selling themselves to Coporate America,
While pretending to represent constituents, sucks.
