Climate Change
For Maple Trees and Polar Bears *

Sung to the tune "Honeysuckle Rose"
(performed by Fats Waller - 1929)

When their maple trees
Don't get a deep freeze,
Maple sugar devotees
Castigate those Bush yo yos –
Their sap never rose.

Polar Bears turn gruff
And leave in a huff
If the sea's not cold enough
And each year can't freeze their toes –
Damn those Bush yo yos.

Maple sugar?
Soy sauce recently became their cup.
Skinny dipping?
Lynne and Laura made them want to give it up.

To no one's surprise
Now Bush alibies
That the reason for his lies
Is because his damn grin froze –
Adding to our woes.
