Makin' Whoopee
To be sung with Eddie Cantor to the tune
"Makin' Whoopee"
(Another bride, another groom, another sunny honeymoon)

Just like before, no one's immune.
Another strike's due very soon.
You think they're teasin'? Bush is their reason
For makin' whoopee.

A second war we didn't need
Despite the facts Bush didn't heed.
Now we're in season and they've more reason
For makin' whoopee.

What if that first convention
   gets blown to smithereens,
And Osama gets caught
   before the next one convenes?

One party rule! He will have got
Results that Rove simply could not.
To Bush, the reason? "Must be their season
For makin' whoopee."

But if his own convention
   meets an identical fate,
Limits to terms politicians can serve
may equate to the casualty rate.

You think that's cool? If, tit for tat,
Rove's candidates have gone kersplat,
There'll be no reason to dread their season
For makin' whoopee.
