Pleading For Grammy's Help
Sung to the tune "Ma (He's Making Eyes At Me)"

Though his act's described as hammy,
He's a failure to his Mammy.
Social Security
Seems to foil her Walter Mitty.

His attempts to demonize it
As he tries to privatize it
Have begun to sound flimflammy
So he telephones his Grammy –

"Grams, they're getting wise to me.
Grams, they're criticizing me.
Grams, why aren't they buying my plan?
Tell them how Gramps
bought bonds so we don't need food stamps.

"Grams, they don't believe in me
   or my catastrophe –
Show them how as Gramps got older,
each diamond he bought you's a boulder –
Grams, they're hissing me."
