Snakes
Sung to the Harold Arlen tune "The Man That Got Away"

A snake will slither to get from here to thither.
He'll go slow or hasten, depending who he's chasin' –
Another snake who wasn't there for bombs away?

Sometimes a video –
An invitation to eat crow –
Or let poor Junior know that he's OK.

That Bush's dummy, the sarcastic Rummy,
Can't save his Bushie from more kicks in the tushie.
It's bound to happen –
Bush is such a dirty shame.

One snake is grinning; he's winning ev'ry inning –
For while he's sunning, his sons continue gunning –
And because of Bush there's gonna be
   more snakes winning ev'ry day.

There is no turning back
Now Bush has bought Iraq
And two insurgents for each one he blows away.

Will Bush elections stifle insurrections?
Produce more Sunnis who want to be tycoonis?
Whose prayers will be answered,
Or find that Allah's at a diff'rent game?
Which will be the snake that got away?
