Tainted Bodies
To be sung to the tune
"'Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness If I Do"

There is so much Blunt has done
and so much Blunt has said,
But who dares criticize him?
All those things he did for Tom
   have got folks seeing red,
So much so that they'll immortalize him.

When the Congress takes a notion
to let Bush warm up the ocean,
Tainted bodies like theirs get their due.
Rather than just persecute 'em,
   they'll insist Bush execute 'em,
But all those tainted bodies! What to do?

Bushie may proclaim that stealing,
   lobbying and double dealing
By those tainted bodies deserves praise,
But as with his indicted cronies,
   now identified as phonies,
He'll disown all Lays and Tom DeLays.

That leaves Hillary's plantation
   as a possible way station
As those tainted bodies 'cummulate.
Or Ray Nagin's choc'late fact'ry,
   or a handy trash compact'ry,
Though the former'd prob'bly segregate.

So it sounds a trifle sickle,
but why not have Ms. Kerry pickle
All those bodies diagnosed with taints?
When Bush goes to church on Sunday,
   he'll announce a Cheney fun-day
Worshipping Blunt and his pickled saints.

      ––– Blues Piano Interlude –––

Not to be outdone, Santorum
now maintains he bought a quorum
Who'll approve him as a lobbyist,
Even though he'll have been pickled
   for donations he has trickled
To himself despite pleas to desist.
